Job Description:

The Low-Voltage Integrator Apprentice is a hands-on role that connects innovative technology solutions to client needs. This position involves installing, integrating and supporting technology systems that optimize operations, enhance client experiences and align with our strategic goals. Were seeking a motivated individual passionate about learning, problem-solving and working with cutting-edge technology to provide tailored solutions for businesses. Ability to integrate door access control/physical security/alarm systems highly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize installation and hand tools to work on lifts, ladders, rooftops, and other elevated spaces.
  • Efficiently install and integrate audio/visual systems and access control solutions.
  • Conduct installations that comply with company procedures, safety protocols and National Electric Safety Code (NESC) standards.
  • Troubleshoot technology issues, coordinate project installations and deliver seamless client integration experiences.
  • Communicate with clients, offering education on products and services while ensuring professional and positive interaction.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Adhere to licensing and background check requirements as mandated by federal, state and local regulations.
  • Exercise sound judgment in project management, problem-solving and installation services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to ensure projects are properly completed and logged.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
  • Familiarity with audio/visual systems, access control systems and low-voltage technology is preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose basic technical issues and interpret blueprints preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex field situations with minimal supervision.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience installing low-voltage wiring and associated devices is highly desirable.

 

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • OSHA 10 Training Online for General Industry & Construction certification highly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative team player who shares knowledge and is open to coaching.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Comfortable feeding cables through access points, roof spaces and walls when needed.
  • Skilled in operating tools and working in various physical environments.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, reach, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth and color.
  • Regularly must be able to lift, move and hold items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in confined or elevated spaces such as crawl spaces, attics or on scaffolding.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle for extended periods (day and evening).
