Leading Florida’s statewide workforce development system, I drive innovation and accountability across the CareerSource Florida network, partnering with businesses, educators, and government to expand access to high-quality training and address workforce challenges. This aligns with Governor DeSantis’ vision to make Florida the nation’s leader in talent development and higher education.

To date, my achievements include improving outcomes across Florida’s workforce system by leading collaboration and driving system change. I have advanced key REACH Act priorities such as the Credentials Review Committee, Master Credentials List, and the Florida Workforce System Transformation Plan. Drawing on extensive experience in workforce services and applied research, I use data analysis to guide strategic decisions and strengthen Florida’s position as a global leader in talent development.

Sherod Halliburton is a Community Development Finance expert currently serving as President/CEO of Financial Access Federal Credit Union (FAFCU). FAFCU hired Halliburton in February 2012 as Executive VP, where he guided the organization through the process of becoming a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). He was promoted to President in July 2013.

Prior to FAFCU, Halliburton served as the Executive Director of the Central Community Redevelopment Agency for seven years. There he launched three economic development initiatives: CareerEdge Workforce Funders Collaborative, Central Economic Development Center (CEDC), and Suncoast Community Capital (SCC).

Serving on the Board of County Commissioners, the legislative body for Manatee County, I focus on driving policy in the areas of affordable housing, workforce development, economic development, and transportation.

I represent the third district of Manatee County consisting of Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, Bradenton, Palmetto, Cortez, Snead Island, and Terra Ceia.

With background experience and education in Leadership, Diversity, Growth, Workforce Development, Communication, Education, Event Planning, Sales, Athletics, Legislative Advocacy, Writing, Marketing, Travel and Hospitality, I bring a diverse background tied together with an emphasis on teamwork and exceeding expectations.

Natasha also loves volunteering for her fraternity, Alpha Omicron Pi International Women's Fraternity, where she served as the International Standing Committee Chairman for Public Relations. In the past, she has served as a Collegiate Network Specialist, Recruitment Network Specialist, Network Specialist for Alumnae, Colony Development Network Specialist, Chapter Adviser, and traveled across the country meeting sisters.
