Production Associate

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Associate is responsible for ensuring that production orders are fulfilled in a timely and satisfactory manner.  This position supports sales efforts by providing a variety of services, solutions, and support to existing internal and external customers. This includes but is not limited to processing production orders, running semi-automatic equipment, manual production processes, shipping, receiving, and general warehousing.  The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate a keen attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Assemble and kit finished products into boxes or containers for shipping accurately and efficiently
  •  Prepare packages for shipment by ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation
  •  Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials or products
  •  Ensure accurate production information is maintained and produced to a specified schedule
  •  Inspect incoming goods for damage and count accuracy, reporting any discrepancies or issues
  •  Unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
  •  Perform physical counts, organize stock, and maintain inventory
  •  Enter data from Production documentation or receiving into company ERP system
  •  Responsible for meeting both individual and team productivity requirements
  •  Perform various activities to support warehouse and production operations
  •  Performs daily housekeeping, including cleaning and straightening, etc.
  •  Follow established quality, process, and output standards
  •  Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize procedures
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures
  •  Performs all other duties as assigned or directed.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  •  High School Diploma or GED
  •   No Experience necessary.  Entry level
  •  Basic math skills to accurately count and track inventory
  •  Proficient with computers; Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  •  Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  •  Must be detail oriented and able to accurately perform job functions
  •  Able to follow verbal and written instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
  •  Knowledge of ERP software (Traverse)
  •  Able to safely operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  •  Able to repetitively lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  •  Committed to delivering results; being solutions oriented; having good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  •  Adept at maintaining a professional manner in all customer interactions both internal and external
  •  Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment comfortably and effectively

 

Starting Salary: $17/hr
