About Community Entrepreneur Opportunity (CEO)

The CEO program started with assistance from SCORE, Sarasota Chamber, SBDC at Manatee Technical Institute, CareerSource Suncoast, City of Sarasota (Newtown/North Sarasota Redevelopment), and Comerica Bank CRA to attract local talent needed by the area’s economy and its businesses.  Most classes are filled by word of mouth – a good success indicator – and a number of graduates continue to be in contact with their trainer/counselor. Comerica Bank provided initial funding and support and has continued to today. SunTrust and Chase have also provided funding.
