We take pride in establishing our partnership with career seekers and identifying the great value and investment to you for participating in these programs. Our goal is to help you continue a level of self-sufficiency for your family.

Welfare Transition

This program provides services to career seekers who have applied for and are currently receiving cash benefits through the Department of Children and Families. Services may include, but not be limited to:

  • Case Management – Connection to a Career Adviser who will guide and assist you in the development of an action plan identifying Training and Employment goals.
  • Support Services – Services provided help alleviate significant barriers to employment. Support may be provided through a referral system or may be provided by CareerSource Suncoast, as funding is available. (An example of such service would be a receipt of a childcare voucher to a local childcare coalition.)
  • Pre-Employment Services – An intense 4 week program, “Bridges to Success”, equips you with the tools needed to effectively compete for identified Training and Employment Opportunities.

SNAP Education and Training Program

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. You can use one of our centers to apply for SNAP and speak with a counselor for additional SNAP benefits.

Migrant and Seasonal Farm Workers

CareerSource Suncoast operates an outreach and employment program for migrant and seasonal farm workers.
